Position Overview:
In partnership with the President and CEO, the Director of Development will plan and implement a development and fundraising program to provide for the short- and long-term needs of the organization. Part-time hours range from 20-25 hours per week with hybrid flexibility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
In collaboration with the President and CEO:
Determine the mission, purpose and priorities of TWC.
Create TWC’s annual development strategy and implementation plan.
Lead TWC’s individual giving program, directing the engagement of the CEO, Board and other internal stakeholders.
Set annual monetary goals and budgets according to short- and long-term goals.
Establish fundraising objectives for the organization, setting one year, five year, and longer-term goals.
Maintain a list of potential financial donors including corporations, foundations, and individuals.
Produce relevant and informative fundraising literature for distribution to previous donors and the public.
Cultivate relationships and sustainable partnerships with the community.
Research potential sources of, and apply for, grants and public funding and oversee the contracted grant-writing and/or institutional fundraising support
Oversee the fundraising process and maintain records of receipts and disbursements of funds.
Plan fundraising events that effectively communicate the purposes of the organization.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the financial development office and staff.
Assign, plan, and oversee the work of departmental staff and volunteers.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Experience/Education/Certifications:
Five plus years of experience in fundraising for a nonprofit organization is highly preferred.
Knowledge of tax planning principles and techniques that favor charitable giving.
Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field preferred.

Computer/Technology:
Excellent Word, Excel, and Windows file management skills mandatory.
Demonstrated web research skills.
Familiarity with Outlook, Google or similar network-based email and calendar software.
Must be able to work independently in a stable remote environment.

Ability to communicate verbally across all levels of the organization in a clear, concise and confident manner.
Ability to write accurate, clear and organized communications, incorporating a range of information and analysis.
Ability to document workflow and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $40,000 - $45,000.
